TheYAY Hoops was established back in 2007 keeping a core of players from our previous teams such as (Platinum Syndicate, Famero & Associates, & Most Hated) building championship contenders through players we added through recommendations.

 The purpose of this team is to help young athletes grow into men and understand as a team we can accomplish anything.  Hopefully giving our best talent an avenue to play overseas.

We work on getting sponsorships which has been a challenge in the last few months to help fund our tournaments and league fees.  We are always looking for sponsors if you are one we can be reached at info@TheYAY.org.

 What I want every player who comes through this program to understand and learn is Together Everyone Achieves More (T.E.A.M).  It is not just about basketball and me putting in out of my own pocket to allow us to play another day.

This is about an extended basketball family who helps each other out when we are in need.  A team who covers each other when we are struggling.  A group of friends who are bonding through a sports activity and growing as adults.

I have seen team members struggle and not have any money to even pay for league fees.  I have also seen the same people struggle get jobs and be able to pay for themselves then help others who are struggling without question or hesitation.

I have seen those same people in a Las Vegas Tournament pulling cash out of their pockets to make sure their friends without cash were able to eat daily.

It is not about money or basketball it is about how do we get through this life without falling into a statistic or becoming just another person caught up in the Law System.

Sadly not all of us are able to stay free from being products of our environment and sometimes end up incarcerated.  We tend to find ways to eat.  We have felt growing up begging, borrowing, and stealing.

All I ask of all of you is that once you get past the point of having to do dirt to survive.  You leave it in the past and go legit and steer away from the life of a street hustler.

Always remember nobody is perfect we all have our issues but one thing we do have is each other, to believe in one another at all levels of life.
